Bungalow House Plans
The bungalow style house grew in popularity in the western United States at the turn-of-the-century. Bungalow style houses were affordable, simple living that had an artistic touch not normally available to those with modest incomes. Basic features of the bungalow include one and half stories with most of the living spaces on the first floor, efficient floor plans, and a low-pitched roof. In the Bungalow style, many times the living room is at the center of the home, making this style truly family friendly. Plus, it is common for the Bungalow style home to have a covered front porch or sunroom with many windows making it a cheerful design even for its smaller size. The Bungalow style home provided many Americans with their first home and the ultimate American dream. |
