Other Available Options

Your plan package will contain the necessary construction information to build your home. We also offer the following options and products to save you time and money in the building process. Availability for all these options is noted on the plan detail page.

ADDITIONAL SETS

Additional sets of the plan ordered are available for an additional cost. 8-set, 5-set, and reproducible packages offer considerable savings. These sets are only available within 90 days after purchase of any of our plan packages.

Mirror Reverse Sets

Plans can be printed in mirror reverse. These plans are useful when the house would fit your site better if all the rooms were on the opposite side than shown. They are simply a mirror image of the original drawings causing the lettering and dimensions to read backwards. Therefore, when ordering mirror reverse drawings, you must purchase at least one set of right-reading plans. Some of our plans are offered mirror reverse right reading. This means the plan, lettering and dimensions are flipped but read correctly.

RIGHT READING Mirror Reverse Sets

Some of our plans are offered mirror reverse right reading. This means the plan, lettering and dimensions are flipped but read correctly.

MATERIAL LIST

Material lists are available for many of the plan. Each list gives you the quantity, dimensions and description of the building materials necessary to construct your home. You’ll get faster and more accurate bids from your contractor while saving money by paying for only the materials you need. Material lists are not refundable, cannot be purchased separately and are only available within 90 days after purchase of any of our plan packages. Material lists are designed with the standard foundations only and will not include alternate or optional foundations. Please see plan detail page for standard foundation type.

2X6 EXTERIOR WALLS

Some of our plans are offered with 2x6 exterior wall framing. It may be more sensible for you to utilize 2x6 walls in your frame, depending on the climate in your location. 2x6 walls are more expensive, but in some locations the increased energy savings are worth the cost. Talk to your contractor about which frame will be most cost and energy efficient in your area.
